Welcome to VisID research group!
The Visual Interaction Design (VisID)
research group in the
Department of
Computer Science at the
University of Victoria is
headed by Dr. Melanie Tory. Our primary research areas include
visualization, human-computer interaction, and computer-supported
cooperative work. The purpose of our research work is to design and
evaluate visualization and interaction techniques that allow people to
effectively analyze data and make decisions in various fields including
medicine and engineering. Some of our current research projects include
Collaborative Visualization, computer support for building design and
construction, multidimensional data visualization and Casual Information
Visualization.
